Beware of the Hertz Cabo San Lucas airport location / Hertz San Jose Del Cabo Airport. They are a 3rd party location, so Hertz says they can’t help with the scam so this is the best way to help you all avoid it. They are owned by Avasa.

You tell them you don’t want insurance add on. They say OK. You will get a contract in Spanish (which they are supposed to give you in English by Hertz rules, but they do this so you don’t notice). You will notice the bill is higher than what you did a reservation for, they say its for incidentals but will fall off your credit card statement.

It’s all a lie. They slip in “premium insurance” for hundreds of dollars a day. Read their reviews on Google. They are scamming everyone. They are charging people thousands of dollars for road rash on rims that people say they didn’t do. Beware of this scam.
